Is it alright to talk to yourself,
especially if you answer? Talking to yourself is
not something new or even original. The number of people who
do it is higher than you might think. There are even times
in the Bible where people talk to themselves and answer. We
can learn from them a lot about God and how we relate to
God. The Hebrews in the wilderness failed to get to know God
even after forty years of eating manna, and following the
cloud and pillar of fire. If you want to know how to answer
yourself properly take time as Pastor Bob shows you in Psalm
42 the way. The way to a closer and lasting relationship
with God.

What is the difference between an external
and an internal relationship with God?
Moses enter the presence of God and when he came before the
people his face glowed. After that he would wear a veil
until he returned to speak with God again. In the New
Testament Paul says we are all to have unveiled faces. How
can the veil of the Old Testament Tabernacle, the veil that
Moses wore and the veil of Herod's temple all help us
understand and enhance our relationship with God? Take time
to dig deeper and learn as believers we need to remove all
veils and discover the daily presence of God.

What is the meaning behind Communion?
Christians take communion by using a small cup of grape
Juice and a wafer like cracker to follow the directions
given to them by Jesus on the night before he died. This is
far from the meal and circumstances of the Seder meal that
Jesus was present at the night he broke the bread and shared
the cup of wine with his disciples. This message traces the
path of our beliefs from the first Passover meal to the time
of Jesus to the modern Jewish Seder meal. This message is
designed to help you take a closer look and get a deeper
meaning of the communion we share together as Christian
believers.

What moments define your life?
Many people miss the opportunity to live for God because
they think it is only the really big moments that matter to
God. When we look at our life we need to see it in light of
the moments that give us direction and which show our inner
character. This message will look at the defining moments of
the lives of George Washington, Joseph the 11th son of Jacob
and also the defining moment of a modern athletic who lost
the game but won in life. Learn why defining moments are
rarely public and often are only seen by two, you and God.

faith is and what faith is not. In the end you will have a
more complete Biblical definition of faith and will be
headed for a deeper lasting relationship with God.

What is the one thing that makes the real
difference in our life? The Story is the Bible as
one continuous narration starting with Genesis and ending
with Revelation. Pastor Bob challenges each person to
consider the need and the rewards of making a commitment to
reading The Story in 2012. Each person needs to be able to
see the upper story and the lower story. The upper story is
the world from God's point of view. The lower story is the
world from the point of view of each person as they live
their lives. In the end pastor Bob ask one question that
everyone needs to answer if they are going to grow
spiritually this year. You will have the opportunity to
answer that question and take the journey through the Story
in the next 31 weeks.
